Bender UK shortlisted for IHEEM Estates & Facilities team award

Bender UK Service Team has been shortlisted for the ‘Estates & Facilities Team’ category in the Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards 2019.

The award is made to a team working in the healthcare sector who can demonstrate outstanding achievement, performance and delivery of estates and facilities services.  The winner will be announced at the Healthcare Estates dinner in Manchester on October 8th, 2019.

The Service Team at Bender UK is dedicated to the provision of maintenance and call out services ensuring critical power and surgical systems are available and in a healthy condition, preventing equipment failure and unscheduled shutdowns.

Bender equipment is installed in more than 500 hospitals, many supported through service agreements with over 8,000 assets on contract. In over 95% of cases, Bender returns an area to use during a call-out, and the team typically handles over 200 emergency call outs a year.

The service team consists of ten office staff, supported by a technical team of engineers and regional Bender and sub-contract commissioning and service engineers across the UK and Republic of Ireland.  Engineers conduct service, commissioning and repairs - ensuring they have knowledge and experience in all aspects of hospital critical care power installations.

Lisa Hudson, Marketing Manager said “We are delighted that our hard-working service team has been short-listed for this award.  They provide an incredibly high level of customer care,  working around the clock, often during unsociable hours to support and work in partnership with in-house estate teams, FM companies and contractors to ensure availability of theatres and equipment, protecting patients and staff from failure, loss of power and shutdown”.
