The DC charging station iONiX from Bender and Silver Atena has been awarded the eMove360° Award 2021 in Munich. First presented in September, the charging station convinced in terms of performance and design in the category Charging & Energy.
iONiX is a charging station that can be used to charge electric cars with 25 or 50 kW direct current. The product was jointly developed by the Bender Group (Bender GmbH & Co. KG and ebee smart technologies GmbH) and Silver Atena GmbH, is “Made in Germany” and is scheduled for market launch from the 2nd quarter of 2022.
“We were very pleased to receive the award“, said Winfried Möll, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Bender after the award ceremony. “We hope that iONiX will become a strong brand and that charging with direct current will soon become a matter of course.“
The iONiX charging station is modular and freely configurable, has a slim and compact construction and impresses with its design. Depending on the variant, the stations can be used in public and semi-public spaces. They are suitable for use in charging parks, parking garages, shopping centres, hotels, and airports. The 25 kW DC charging station is available for private use.
