The proper and safe operation of a wallbox requires proper installation and commissioning by an electrically skilled person. To make their work easier, the choice of the right charge controller as the brain of the wallbox is immensely important. What are the advantages?

Constantly studying a new controller configuration software is not only a troublesome task, but also takes up quite an amount of time. With a manufacturer-independent and therefore time-saving initial commissioning and configuration of the CC613 charge controller, this becomes unnecessary, regardless of the manufacturer of the wallbox to be installed. For you, this means a significantly reduced need for training, faster familiarisation and rapid implementation.

The installation of an expensive RCD type B can also be omitted thanks to the CC613, since a 6 mA DC fault current detection is integrated in the charge controller. The use of a significantly more economical RCD type A is completely sufficient from a normative point of view. You can pass this advantage on to your customers on a one-to-one basis.

How can you easily and smartly set up and expand a charging infrastructure or charging parks?

Setting up a networked and intelligent charging infrastructure can be very challenging for you, in your capacity as an electrically skilled person. Especially if your customer chooses charging points from different manufacturers with different charge controllers. In such a case, the compatibility of the controllers and their software quickly reaches its limits, as you have to rely on an external energy management system as well. However, this problem does not apply if your customer opts for charging stations or wallboxes with a charge controller from Bender. The model used is irrelevant here, all controllers can be networked with each other.

In addition, their integrated dynamic load management (DLM) smartly distributes the available energy to the installed charging points. Of course, Bender charge controllers are also compatible with external energy management systems so that these projects can also be served.

A future expansion of the charging park is a matter of course and can be realised without any problems, regardless of whether AC or DC charging stations are used.

How can you make sure your customers use energy smartly and efficiently?

In order to be able to communicate with intelligent energy generators and loads, the CC613 offers standardised communication protocols via which a simple connection to an existing home energy management system (HEMS) is possible using EEBUS and SMA SEMP. For example, by simply connecting to the customer's own PV system, the self-produced energy can be used smartly and efficiently to charge the electric vehicle, and the charging process can be planned and controlled very well.

Why is this particular charge controller an interesting option for your customers?

The safety features integrated in the CC613 charge controller ensure safe charging for your customers.

In the event of a power failure, the charging plug emergency opener offers the user the possibility to safely pull the charging cable out of the wallbox and not have to wait for a qualified electrician or a technician.

The integrated weld check issues a fault message in case of a "stuck" contactor or load switch. Since in this case the power supply is not interrupted and thus a life-threatening current can flow, the weld check provides increased personal protection.

To further increase safety against electric shock, the CC613 uses PE monitoring to ensure proper connection of the protective earth conductor (PE) to the controller.

The 6 mA DC fault current detection integrated in the CC613 according to IEC 62955 ensures that insulation faults on the vehicle side are detected. The charging process is stopped immediately as soon as a DC fault current greater than 6 mA flows. This not only prevents life-threatening personal injury, but the user immediately knows that he should have his electric vehicle checked, as this is an initial sign of a fault in the vehicle.

The communication standards integrated in the charge controller also provide your customers with significant advantages.

For example, the CC613 with its Powerline Communication Standard (PLC) according to ISO 15118 enables the wallbox to implement plug & charge or autocharge, with which simplified and direct communication between electric vehicle and wallbox is possible.

To ensure that your customer's wallbox is always up to date and thus guarantee future-proof operation, the CC613 offers regular software updates. The most recent standards are always taken into consideration and new functions are added to the controller.
