Dr Sven Hartung (51) has been the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Bender Group based in Grünberg since 1 October 2023. He takes over from Monika Schuster, who will remain a member of the Executive Board and retire at the end of the year.
Dr Hartung is an economist. Since obtaining his doctorate in Lüneburg, he has held management positions at various national and international companies such as KPMG, E.ON and ERIKS. He has extensive knowledge in accounting, finance, project management, restructuring, M&A and post-merger integration. Thanks to his experience with family businesses and his expertise in IT, organisation and digitalisation, he brings with him the appropriate prerequisites to help shape Bender's strategic direction in the future.
Monika Schuster, former CFO at Bender, emphasises: "We are pleased to have gained an experienced executive for the company in Dr Sven Hartung. In the last few weeks there have already been several joint meetings with a good exchange." Until her departure at the end of the year, there will be an intensive familiarisation phase. "The appointment of Dr Hartung as the new CFO is an important step in continuing Bender's growth course."
