Load Balancing and Power Limits
The Charge Controller provides several limits that restrict charging current or power.
These limits help with:
- protecting electrical components
- preventing overloads in the installation
- staying within local grid requirements
- operating chargers within contractual limits
1 High level overview
The available limits depend on the charger setup.

5 Frequently asked questions
Maximum Current,Installation Current Limit,Operator Current Limit, andPower Limit.Charging Station Hardware Current LimitandCharging Station Installation Current Limit. It is replaced by
Charging Station Installation Current Limit.Maximum Current→Installation Current Limit→Operator Current Limit→Power Limit→ DLM settings.Maximum Current≥Installation Current Limit≥Operator Current Limit≥Power Limit.Yes, it can be adjusted during charging sessions and can also be set to 0.
It defines the maximum current available for the entire charging station when two connectors share a single feed.
It limits the charging power to 5.5 kW per connector using the progressive power limiter mode.
Progressive mode assumes a single-phase vehicle and reduces current when more phases are detected, while conservative mode assumes a three-phase vehicle and increases current when fewer phases are used.
The configured limit is applied individually to each connector.
